George Michael: A Multi-Layered Pop Art Homage to "Faith"
I am thrilled to share the completion of my largest and most complex commission to date: "George Michael: Faith," a magnificent piece measuring 100 x 200 cm for a private collector.
The project was born from a simple yet powerful idea: a multi-layered repetition of the iconic George Michael figure from the "Faith" era, complete with his signature guitar.

The final work features six repeated figures, inspired by the collector's initial vision. The composition strategically uses four figures facing forward, kept in striking purple hues, with two central figures—one facing forward and one turned away—executed in rich copper, bronze, and gold. This central pairing is what gives the piece its dynamic focal point.

Every detail was meticulously crafted:
I first hand-drew each character layer-by-layer on the iPad.
This was translated into five intricate stencil layers for each figure, allowing for incredible detail and depth.
The final medium was spray paint, utilizing over 30 different shades to achieve the desired Pop Art and Street Art aesthetic.
The figures' jackets were finished with real bronze and gold accents, adding a luxurious texture that plays beautifully with light.

The artwork is executed on a high-gloss white Dibond aluminium panel, which gives the colours a vivid, mirror-like quality. It is framed with a sleek floating aluminium frame, providing a clean, contemporary finish that allows the nearly 2-meter piece to dominate the space.

The collector, who initially considered a smaller work, was ecstatic with the final 100 x 200 cm scale and the dynamic Street Art / Pop Art style. After over two months of intensive production, I am immensely proud of the final effect and the successful collaboration.
